The standard tying thread used by most fly tyers. It is characterised by a particularly rough surface that allows it to be used with any dubbing. It's also a thread with excellent break strength relative to its size, suitable for creating uniform bodies and usable on medium-sized hooks, from #10 to #14. The weave treatment used for its manufacturing allows, with a minimum of skill, to easily split it in half to make a dubbing loop without having to double it.
