what is urus? the urus trouser family consists of different styles. as the name suggests, each is designed for a specific user.
• urus light • raw urus • urus 7 (arrival late 2025) • urus basis (arrival late 2025) • special urus light. our design priority for the urus light is to limit weight without compromising lifespan, waterproofing and functionality. this construction offers light protection for warm days, but can also be used year-round with an appropriate combination of base and mid layers. the outer polyamide taslan fabric is the same we have used for over 20 years. the outer fabric is coated with our membrane system fabric, making it 100% waterproof (hsw < 10 000 mm) and breathable.
how did urus become lighter? first by using an outer fabric that is 20% lighter. then by limiting the use of pleats and overlays. without compromising waterproofing and durability, the dozer light is significantly lighter than other members of the urus family.

what to expect? urus light is the lightest and most breathable trouser in our collection, while being just as waterproof as the other models. it has fewer pockets and slightly fewer protective layers in non-critical areas; this is a compromise we made to minimize weight and packability.

environment urus light is a robust and long-lasting trouser. the choice of materials ensures a longevity superior to most of its competitors. durability is the key to limiting climate impact. from the design stage, we have considered easy repairs and, in many cases, local repairs. at the end of its life, we have put in place a "next life" plan.
a word from the designer when we set out to create urus and dozer light, my goal was simple: to create a pant-jacket combination and that would perform as well as our toughest shells, but be as light as a feather. something you will forget you are wearing, until the rain, wind or waves hit, and you realise it is doing all the work. urus light is fully waterproof and breathable, and yet incredibly light for its strength. the fabric is reinforced and tested to withstand extreme conditions. it punches well above its weight, and this balance between performance and weight is something i'm really proud of.
but what really sets urus light apart is its versatility.
we designed an adjustable ventilation system to help you quickly release heat while on the move.
unlike most technical trousers, urus light is designed to be worn year-round. in summer, i rely on ventilation. in winter, it becomes a waterproof and windproof jacket that integrates perfectly with appropriate base layers like wizwool. thanks to this flexibility, i never hesitate to choose my trousers. equally important to me is the feel when wearing it. urus light moves with you, not against you.
it's no accident: it's the result of careful design, smart material choices and extensive testing. we have achieved a weight/performance balance never reached before.
we like to say: it's a bulldozer in disguise.
durability has never been in doubt. every seam, zipper and panel has been designed to last. but good gear also requires good hands. urus light is the result of close collaboration between our engineers and our seamstresses, people who have worked for years to master their craft. it is their know-how and attention that make our light version what it is.
i also believe that if we really want to make an environmental difference, we must design durable products. that's precisely what urus light offers: smart design, lasting performance and everyday adaptability.
