what to expect? the urus7 has been field-tested for nearly 30 years. it is not the lightest in our range, but it is robust. breathable and waterproof, it is built to perform in tough conditions and to withstand years of use. as specialists, we designed the urus7 to be a high-performance work tool.
this version includes a recycling plan aftercare: a refund when you return the product to us for recycling. ultimately, only the smallest details of these trousers will be lost. at the end of their service life, they will be recycled into hats, bags and spare parts.
new pocket design: two water-resistant slanted pockets are positioned for easy access. the new ykk® aquaguard zips are smoother, making them easier to open and close. this new design includes potential integration of our wiztool magnets and/or a pin-on reel. a clever, waterproof side pocket with a protective flap keeps your essentials dry in heavy rain. the pocket expands as you fill it, giving you extra space only when you need it, without extra bulk.

the essence of waterproof comfort: imagine the urus trousers as a house. without solid foundations, nothing works as intended. your comfort starts from the inside, and it's your responsibility. no matter what comes from the outside – rain, snow, waves or strong winds – urus protects you. the partnership is simple: you wear a moisture-wicking base layer, and urus does the rest. when the temperature drops or your activity changes, add a mid layer, preferably wool or a wool blend, for perfect balance.
how does the shell protect you? the urus7 waterproof fabric is made of three parts:
durable water repellent (dwr): a chemical treatment that makes water bead. we treat the yarns before the fabric is woven. this creates a durable, resistant effect. outer: woven fabric – a durable taslan polyamide material. the fabric is laminated with a breathable, waterproof membrane. membrane – prevents rain from entering while letting moisture escape. the membrane has microscopic pores: small enough to hold back rain droplets, yet large enough to allow moisture vapor to pass. why is the inside so important? inside, the new urus lining captures moisture as vapor and moves it out through the membrane. a mesh panel promotes air circulation, acting like small pumps to stop moisture from turning into drops (because the membrane can only move vapor, never liquid). put on a moisture-wicking layer as described above, and what seems complicated suddenly becomes child's play. the trousers take over: you stay dry and comfortable. layer it with wool or a wool blend, and you'll be ready for anything, perhaps even to sing in the rain.
