in 1998, we set out to create the ultimate waterproof and breathable jacket and trousers. designed to face the elements without compromise. from day one, the integrated glove, waterproof pockets, the back pocket and remarkable durability became the key features of this model. season after season, these features have stood the test of time. today, this model remains true to its origins: a rare classic that proves some things are perfect the first time. perfect foundations for the future. waterproof and breathable excellence, more advanced than ever.
what to expect: the dozer7 has been field-tested and proven outdoors for nearly 30 years. it is not the lightest in our range, but it is robust. breathable and waterproof, it is designed to withstand the toughest conditions and for years of use. as specialists, we designed the dozer7 to be a high-performance work tool.
this version includes a take-back recycling scheme : a refund when you return the product to us for recycling. in the end, only the smallest details of this jacket will be lost. at the end of its service life, it will be recycled into hats, bags and spare parts.
new pocket design: two waterproof chest pockets are positioned for easy access. the new ykk® aquaguard zippers are smoother, making them easier to open and close. this new design includes the potential integration of our wiztool magnets and/or a pin reel. this addition allows you to customise the fit and use of your favourite tools with the jacket. this new design also allows top loading, a significant advantage for preparing pockets for tools and similar items. the left chest pocket includes a built-in highly elastic mesh pocket. the back pocket can now be buttoned into the outer fabric, creating a cleaner design when not in use.
pockets and features: • chest pockets with ykk® aquaguard® zipper. inside, you will find a hypalon mount to secure your preferred tools using our magnets and/or attachment system. managing expectations: waterproof if the zipper is fully closed and not submerged. despite their waterproof design, we recommend not considering these pockets as watertight storage. the pocket lining is partially waterproof, which means it will not leak. expect condensation. further protect your phone and electronic devices. • the left pocket is equipped with a built-in stretch mesh pocket. • interior napoleon pocket with ykk® zipper. • interior elastic mesh pocket. ideal for storing a tackle box or extra accessories. • d-ring. • hypalon fitting for attaching accessories to the outside of the jacket. • the hood is easily detachable from the collar and adjustable in circumference, visibility and depth. it is equipped with a sun peak and stows easily. • sleeve closures in hypalon with original velcro® fastening. • the half-glove in lycra can be used in three different ways: 1 : as a half-glove. 2 : as a wrist warmer. 3. • fully stowed. • spacious rear pocket. buttonable into the outer fabric, it offers a cleaner design when not in use. • reinforced and articulated elbow.
the essentials of waterproof happiness: imagine the dozer jacket as a house. without solid foundations, nothing works as intended. your comfort starts on the inside, and it's your responsibility. whatever the weather – rain, snow, waves or strong winds – dozer protects you. the partnership is simple: you wear a sweat-wicking base layer, and dozer takes care of the rest.
when the temperature drops or your activity changes, add a mid layer, preferably wool or a wool blend, to maintain the right balance.
how does dozer7 protect you? the dozer7 waterproof fabric is made of three elements: 1. water repellency (dwr): a chemical treatment that makes water bead. we treat the yarns before weaving the fabric, which creates a durable and resistant effect. 2. outer: a hard-wearing taslan polyamide woven fabric. the fabric is laminated with a waterproof and breathable membrane. 3. membrane: it prevents rain from entering while allowing moisture to escape. the membrane has microscopic pores: small enough to hold back raindrops, but large enough to let moisture pass through.
why is the interior so important? inside, the new dozer lining captures moisture as vapor and expels it through the membrane. the mesh inserts promote airflow, acting like small pumps to prevent moisture from turning into droplets (because the membrane can only move vapor, never liquid). put on a sweat-wicking t-shirt as mentioned earlier, and what seems complicated suddenly becomes child's play. the jacket takes over: you stay dry and comfortable. layer it with wool or a wool blend like wizwool, and you'll be ready for anything, perhaps even to sing in the rain.
