The Jig Skirt Rattle is a plastic rattle insert containing small steel beads. As they collide against the plastic wall, these beads emit a high-pitched sound. These high-frequency vibrations produced during the retrieve attract predatory fish from long distances to the lure. They are particularly suited to wary fish in very calm conditions.

The tone of this insert is different from that produced by glass or brass inserts and can make the difference with suspicious fish or those conditioned by heavy fishing pressure. Its plastic construction is also much more impact-resistant than that of glass rattles. The Jig Skirt Rattle is therefore recommended for scraping/bumping fishing in very rock-cluttered environments with a Texas-rigged shad. Its robustness also allows it to be used mounted externally on the soft lure. Thanks to its small retention lug, it is therefore ideal as an external teaser with the Rattle Collar, the Rattle Arm or the Spider Rattle Collar.
