Built on the foundation of the very exclusive SLP Super Low Profile, the brand's slimmest profile, the Hypermag is also one of Lew’s lightest reels, weighing only 5.4 ounces. The HyperMag Baitcaster features a one-piece magnesium frame, C45 carbon side plates, and a premium bearing system with 11 double-wall stainless steel bearings and a Zero reverse anti-reverse bearing. The mechanisms are made of anodized aluminum. The compact size of this reel was made possible by the use of a very innovative 32mm spool, made of aerospace-grade Duralumin, allowing it to start up and accelerate faster than wider spools, enabling better use of thinner lines and lighter lures, without compromising performance or power; it is therefore a reel compatible with all Black bass fishing techniques.
