The Flat Tricoroll 55S Illex received the Pecheur Awards Carnassier 2023 for the small flat sinking minnow initially dedicated to trout fishing that is so efficient that it does not leave the beautiful zebras indifferent...
A result of a long collaboration between the Stream Master team and Koichi Fujimatsu (designer) from the Jackall firm. This project combines Japanese know-how with the demands of our rivers and materializes three years of field tests. This "fast sinking" minnow has a more compressed body (extra flat) than the original version. This characteristic gives him a marked ability to cross the water column more quickly and reach the bottom of the river where the current is greatly slowed down. Its mechanical properties make it operational from the descent (strong rolling effect), but also during "downstream" or "three-quarters downstream" drifts, during which the angler accompanies his lure, high rod, with a semi-tight banner. Under these conditions, the slightest animation sets it in motion thanks to the simple pressure exerted by the current on the triangular-shaped bib, which ensures high stability in the most agitated areas. Traditional jerking and twitching animations remain, of course, effective in deceiving trout. Particularly at ease in all types of watercourses, its streamlined body offers him exceptional hold in the most chaotic areas, but also in slower sectors where the slightest water pressure or animation is likely to make him oscillate. In order to limit the risk of hooking off, the ventral hook is secured by a rolling swivel.
