The GUNKI XCAST reels are durable and built for demanding, intensive fishing such as sport lure fishing at sea, notably for targeting sea bass. The combination of a rotor and a large-diameter spool with precise mechanics that impart an ultra-slow spool oscillation ensures a perfect 'X' winding of the line (crossed turns) and eliminates any risk of line bunching when casting. This mechanical advancement is a considerable advantage for sea fishing where the extreme smoothness of the line off the spool (casting, fight) increases your casting distance performance, as well as control during the fight. The crank is screwed directly onto the drive gear, eliminating any unwanted play and increasing the smoothness and power of these reels. The crank's grip is comfortable and reliable, provided by the handle's wide, flat ergonomics. Equipped with a high gear ratio, you can ideally adjust your retrieve speed to the correct lure action speed, whatever your drift speed. For better protection against the effects of salt, the sensitive parts of the XCAST FV300 & FV400 have received an anti-corrosion treatment. Powerful, easy-to-adjust and progressive drag.
