The THE ARTIST X5 S 235 M-MH BLACK ANGEL is a new gem created in collaboration between our ILLEX Pro-Staff angler Gael Even and our product manager Thomas Vogels. Gael wanted a rod that perfectly combines power, resonance and lightness. At 2m35, it is equally suitable for both boat fishing and shore fishing. With an extra-fast action, we chose a 1+1 blank construction to preserve all its power and responsiveness whether when casting or when fighting big fish. The THE ARTIST X5 S 235 M-MH BLACK ANGEL proves incredible for soft-plastic lure fishing for zander as well as for sea bass in estuaries. For light topwater and straight-line retrieves with 4 and 6-inch soft baits, the control of the rod blank and the feel of the lure’s vibrations and the subtlest bites are simply incredible. We are happy to take you into a completely new world of sensations and pleasure. Its very high-end X5 blank, made from pre-impregnated sheets with carbon fibers oriented at three angles, provides maximum resonance, lightness and confidence during fights. It is equipped with FUJI TORZITE TITANIUM KL-H series guides mounted according to the K-R Concept. The choice of these premium guides, combined with a rigorously studied layout along the blank, guarantees long and accurate casts, good compatibility with connection knots, as well as a reduced risk of tangling. The FUJI TVS-TK reel seat, skeletonized and V-shaped, optimizes the grip while allowing direct contact with the blank for increased sensitivity. Supplied with a screen-printed cover and a rigid Cordura tube.
