The Sustain is a high-end series of rods for coastal lure fishing, designed for demanding anglers seeking versatility, precision and performance. For experienced inshore anglers, the Sustain represents a truly versatile range, engineered to master all styles of lure fishing at sea.

With a complete range covering many sea lure-fishing applications (including long-distance and powerful casts), the Sustain combines Shimano's advanced carbon technologies with refined components to deliver light, responsive and powerful performance.

Short fast-action models offer exceptional accuracy and responsiveness with twitchbaits and soft plastics, translating subtle movements into perfect presentations. The "Distance Inshore" models enable longer, more accurate casts with twitchbaits, plugs and spoons, easily covering distant feeding zones. The "Power Game" models provide superior power and control to target strong predators with larger lures and metal jigs.

Built with high-modulus carbon blanks reinforced by Spiral X technology, the Sustain CX offers exceptional torsional rigidity and reduces blank twist. This allows longer, more accurate casts, as well as optimal control of powerful fish in strong currents or waves.

Equipped with Fuji K-Type Alconite guides for smooth line handling, even with ultra-thin braids, the range offers superior durability in salty environments. Shimano's CI4+ reel seat ensures a light, secure connection, enhancing sensitivity and reducing fatigue. Paired with a premium EVA handle, the Sustain CX guarantees comfort and a secure grip, even when wet. Each model is two-piece for easier transport.
