the egi oh search 2.5 is a squid jig designed for prospecting fishing in search of active cephalopods. this model is equipped with a rattling system whose components have all been specifically selected to produce a vibration of around 600hz corresponding to the most effective vibration possible to arouse the interest of squids and cuttlefish. it stands out from other models by its flat sides which give it more rolling and by its small dorsal protrusion (fine strobe) which generates flashing light bursts during animations. its features allow it to be seen and heard from very far away. the egi oh search range is equipped with two eyes with phosphorescence at a wavelength of 490 nm corresponding to the average light spectrum most perceptible to cephalopods. this series features neon bright technology with colors presenting uv blue, green or red bodies (three primary colors of light) to offer a wide range of wavelength variations of light in the water. by matching the reflection color to the color of the water, the reflection produced by the jig is more noticeable and increases the predatory instinct of cephalopods. the uv blue color will be suited to clear waters and strong light, the uv green color should be preferred when the water is turbid and the uv red color is generally the most effective in low light in the morning and evening. size 2.5 has a sink rate of approximately 3.6 seconds per meter.
