The 3G carp rods are normal rods, but simply shorter than the usual

Care must be taken when choosing the power, indeed a shorter length will give more powerful rods if compared to 12 and 13 foot rods, so the right compromise in short rods will rather be on 3.00lbs, and not 3.5lbs like a 13 foot rod.
