Radek Filip is one of the most recognizable Czech anglers and has a solid reputation as an expert in predator fishing, even though he considers himself more of an all-round angler.

He was editor-in-chief of the fishing magazine Kajman for 8 years, while concurrently running the carp fishing magazine Kapr. His fishing articles have been published in more than 50 countries.

He currently works as country manager for Westin in the Czech Republic and Slovakia and is the face of the brand's marketing in this region.

Radek devotes the majority of his fishing time to searching for the biggest specimens around the world. Among his trophy catches are a 127 cm pike, a 114 cm huchen, a 52 cm perch, a 65 kg tuna, a 27 kg carp, a GT trevally of over 30 kg, as well as many other impressive fish.

Radek is also an accomplished competitive angler. His greatest tournament success is his victory at the 2019 World Predator Classic with his fishing partner Martin Štěpka. During that competition he caught a 117 cm pike which, together with their other catches, earned them first place.

Two years later, he also caught the largest pike at that same competition and won the biggest-fish prize in several other tournaments.

He has been fishing for predators with Westin gear for a very long time, to the point that he even named his dog Westin.
