The Super Wide Gape is the result of very long discussions with consultants and other renowned carp anglers. The idea that keeping as open a bend as possible when constructing our rigs provides better anchor points is widespread among carp anglers, and that is why we set out to design these hooks with a particularly generous curve, even more so than our Wide Gape and Stiff Rig series. So here is the “Super Wide Gape », a hook with a long, wide and progressive bend, an ultra-sharp inturned point, a shape never before offered in our various ranges. Tests have shown that even on the most basic rigs, this hook is simply devastating. With such a wide gape, once the hook is sucked in by the carp there is much more point exposed and therefore a much greater probability of a solid anchor point when the fish tries to spit the rig out. This confidence allows you to worry less about the mechanics of the rig and to focus on where to present it.
