The Shadow Rap lures have a «Minnow» action of a dying fish. It complements the «injured Minnow» and «fleeing Minnow» actions already known and renowned in the Rapala range. These three actions perfectly reproduce the moments when fish are most vulnerable, and are therefore an easy target for predators.
The action of a «Minnow» on the verge of dying is simple: a «twitch» shifts the lure off-axis to the side, which will then turn to face its opponent head-down and fall fluttering like a truly agonizing fish. Unlike other «Jerkbaits», the Shadow Rap turns almost 180° when it is «twitched» on a slack line, and stays in the search area where it will sink slowly while vibrating.

Ideal for slow presentation, this lure imitates an injured «Minnow» and is intended for deeper waters than the Shadow Rap. When retrieved with rod jerks, a very pronounced roll will be triggered. Animated with rapid «Twitches» on a slack line, the Shadow Rap turns almost 180 degrees before sinking slowly while wobbling like a dying fish.
