The Urtan X-5 is a three-piece surf casting rod, light and balanced, which does not adopt the classic solutions in its terminal section (solid carbon on the tubular or tubular) but rather an unusual mix, featuring a composite layer grafted directly onto the hollow underside.
This does not interfere in any way with the overall action of the tool, which remains responsive and steady, but interacts positively during the fishing phase.
Indeed, this type of layer, undeniably more flexible and more sensitive, as well as less detectable by the prey when it bites, is the ultimate in all surf and rough sea situations, where even slightly stiffer solutions are more penalized.
In other words, in addition to allowing the use of lighter weights in the conditions described above, such a flexible layer tends to follow the waves and currents, keeping the sinker stable at all times, without pulling it off the bottom or causing it to drift.
This feature in no way alters the character of the rod, which remains versatile and suitable for all.
Interesting aesthetic solutions help to showcase an object that is already special in itself.
• High modulus U.L.A.F. Pro-Force carbon supported by long fibers for greater reactivity during casts and fewer vibrations during retrieval. • The KW ring, which is widely used across all markets, is not only very light but also benefits from a structure that allows it to be used regardless of sea conditions, including when the sea is rough and many debris remain suspended without settling on the bottom. In this case, the larger diameter of the rings facilitates the passage of seaweed, thus avoiding tangles and line blockages near the knots. • Composite tip painted white for high visibility. • FUJI DPS reel seat plate. • Optimal casting 80-160 g
