Used by many of the UK’s top match anglers, this versatile groundbait offers multiple possible uses.
Made from premium expander pellets finely ground, it is slowly milled to obtain a very homogeneous mix with a consistent particle size. Thanks to its extremely fine particles, it produces a slow-sinking groundbait, perfect for creating a light cloud when fed via the feeder — an excellent attractor without overfeeding the fish.
Its fine texture also gives it good binding power: it can be used in balls or placed on the margins, where it forms a thin attractive carpet that holds fish on the swim for hours. It can also be turned into a paste for long-pole fishing.
Lee Kerry (English international angler) says: "Crushed expander pellets are my little secret. I use this mix on its own in the margins or added to other baits in open water. It’s a bit like the 'brown breadcrumbs' of fishmeal-based groundbaits — an essential ingredient!"
Preparation instructions Supercrush Expander can be prepared in different ways depending on the desired effect. For most situations, pour the contents of the 2 kg bag into a round bucket, fill a 2-pint maggot box with water, then pour this water over the dry mix. Mix thoroughly and leave to stand for 30 minutes so that the groundbait absorbs the moisture. For best results, then pass the mixture through a sieve to remove lumps and achieve a homogeneous texture.
To obtain a lighter, cloudier mix, simply continue to add water until the desired consistency is reached.
During fishing, sun and wind can slightly dry out the mix. To prevent this, cover it with a damp towel or add a little water before remixing.
