our first spinning spoon model: the sleepy, very technical… too… did not win unanimous approval because of its difficulty of use. that's why we chose to work on a much more all-purpose model adapted to everyone.

the blackbird meets these requirements: it is an in-line type spinner that spins on contact with the water and at the slightest stimulus, including when reeling very slowly. it is felt in the rod, sometimes forcing the addition of a rolling swivel to limit line twist in large rivers.

thanks to its teardrop weight, this spoon sinks quickly to fish the bottom of pools or to stay steady in strong currents. reeling slowly will allow you to work it at the desired depth but it easily rises in the water column as soon as you increase retrieval speed. the blackbrid handles both strong currents and calm flat water, which makes it versatile at the water's edge.
