CAUTION, the MEGA LIVE 2 transducer is not compatible with the HELIX series fishfinders

The new transducer HUMMINBIRD Mega Live moves to version 2.0, bringing significant improvements:

Everything has been reviewed to deliver superior performance, including a new design and updated electronics.

It is even compatible for use at sea!!!

Search modes :
The search modes evolve with four possible ways to operate the MEGA LIVE 2 transducer.

A DOWN (downward view) — the ideal view for VertiLive and/or pelagic fishing in open water.

A FORWARD (forward view) — the view intended to prospect at distance to discreetly spot and see your lure several metres from the boat.

A LANDSCAPE (panoramic view) — a wide forward view to gather information around the boat in shallow water.

Open Water/TargetBoost : To be used for pelagic fishing, this mode emphasizes locating fish suspended in the water column.

Greater range :
With this new mode called "Open Water", the Mega Live 2 transducer provides increased visibility up to 45m, allowing better visibility of lures on the screen, even at distance.

Compatibility :
With its increased performance, Only the Xplore, Solix G3, and Apex series will have sufficient power to take full advantage of this new transducer which, in the absence of a black box, requires a processor with high computing capacity.

Power supply advice :
The MEGA LIVE 2 transducer must be powered at 12v in addition to your fishfinder. You must provide enough amperage on your 12V battery for good autonomy over a full day.

It is recommended to install a switch on the power supply of your MEGA LIVE transducer and/or a circuit breaker fuse so you can cut it off during transport and not leave it running out of the water.

Installation advice for the MEGA LIVE 2 transducer on the removable transducer pole :
The transducer pole is generally mounted on the starboard side and next to the helm so you can adjust the orientation of your transducer while seated at your console seat and enjoy a full view if you are two anglers fishing vertically.

For navigation with an outboard engine and at high speed, you must fold your pole down into the horizontal position to avoid any risk of damage and thus protect your transducer.
