Feeder braids are ideal for those who want to feel every bite and work their fish with precision; they are chosen by manufacturers to be
sinking. Unlike feeder nylons, they offer increased sensitivity on the main line and also allow you to
cast farther because you can go down in diameter.
Depending on the targeted fishing, you’ll choose fine braids for silverfish from 0.06 mm to 0.10 mm or thicker ones for carp and power feeder 0.10 mm to 0.20 mm. On the other hand, they absorb less and you’ll need more weight, especially in current, and fights with big fish will have to be played more with the reel’s drag — it’s not recommended for beginners; in that case it’s better to go for the
feeder nylon. The most requested one is the Guru feeder braid.
You can also choose your feeder gear from the
feeder rods, the
feeder reels and the
feeder chairs.
