The tenya rods are specifically designed for fishing with
tenya, a technique developed in Japan for sparidae fishing. Tenya was imported and adapted in France by the company Pescanautic and allows you to catch a wide variety of fish. The principle of this "multi-species" fishing is to slowly present and animate a bait, often a prawn, on a lure-bait, the tenya, above the seabed vertically from the boat, or even from the shore. Tenya rods have a tip that is much more sensitive than traditional lure rods to let the fish grab the bait without feeling any resistance and to allow the fisherman to detect the slightest nibble. These rods allow you to fish with very fine braids (about 5 to 8kgs), we recommend you to choose multicolored braids to spot the position of your tenya in relation to the bottom. Therefore, tenya rods combine lightness and great sensitivity allowing to fish very fine and to detect the slightest nibble, while keeping a good power reserve to fight fish of several kilos. You will choose your tenya rod according to the weights you will have to use, the most versatile models have a power of about 10-60 grams. If you are fishing in deep areas, subjected to strong currents or housing large fish, you will have to opt for a slightly more powerful model. Sea breams, sar, wrasses, pagres, dentex, bass, no species can resist a well presented tenya.
