The Takumi PE is a 4-strand braid highly resistant to abrasion. Baitcasting enthusiasts are going to love it. With 8-strand braids, especially in fine diameters, bird's nest issues are almost inevitable. The Takumi PE provides the solution.

Why doesn't Momoi mention diameter any longer, but the PE value instead?

The diameter of a braid cannot be measured accurately due to its irregular section.

Most brands display unrealistic figures: their braids are often thicker or less sturdy than claimed. We prefer to remain honest and transparent.

Japanese PE classifies braids according to their actual weight, not their strength. It's a more reliable benchmark to assess the fineness of a braid. The result: Momoi braids are much finer than those of competitors, sometimes twice as fine with equal strength.
